    Anyone above 18+. What to submit? :
    Prompts related to horror (e.g. ghosts, thrillers), mystery (e.g. detectives, murders, escape rooms), dark fantasy (e.g. mermaids, angels, devils, witches), and dark romance (e.g. psychological themes, mature content). In what language should I submit the prompt? :
    English. Only prompts written in English will be reviewed, although participants are free to create their final works in any language. Can I submit multiple prompts? :
    Yes. You may submit as many prompts as you'd like—there's no limit to your imagination. Is it mandatory to join as a participant if I want to submit a prompt? :
    No. You're welcome to submit prompts even if you don't register as a participant.

In what language should I make my work? :
    You are free to execute the prompts in any language. However, for fanfictions and socmed AUs, each prompt may only be claimed once per language. How does the prompt claiming system work? :
   Prompt claims are processed on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to submit your claiming form as soon as you find a prompt you'd like to work on.    Generally, one prompt can only be claimed once per art medium and once per language (for fanfictions and socmed AUs). For example, Prompt A can be claimed for one English fanfiction, one Bahasa Indonesia fanfiction, one visual edit, and one English socmed AU. Exhibits of the claiming system

How do I know if I get the prompt? :
    Republic of Nitdo will send a confirmation email for the prompt you have successfully claimed. Since our primary communication channel is email, please make sure to use an active email address and keep an eye on all important dates. Can I claim more than one prompt? :
    Yes! You may claim more than one prompt and are also welcome to participate in multiple art mediums. For example, you can claim Prompt A as a socmed AU writer and Prompt B as a fanartist. However, please be mindful and only claim prompts that you are confident you can complete. Can I drop the prompts and opt out? :
    Yes. If you need to withdraw, please send us an email as soon as possible at [email protected].
 
 

Republic of Nitdo will upload the prompts that have been claimed on our Twitter account and inform participants which day their allocated posting date will be via email.
 
 

To keep in touch with participants, Republic of Nitdo will have two check-in dates.We will send a form via email for you to upload your WIP. There is no minimum or specific requirement, you can upload a draft with “still working on it” text, an outline, a short footage, or a screenshot of your discussion with beta readers or friends about the progress. We just want to know your quick updates.
 
 

To not overwhelm the crowds and highlight every work, the posting date for participants will be spread over multiple days starting from 16th October 2026.After receiving the allocated date via email, Republic of Nitdo will send an email about the posting guidelines. Participants may upload their work on their personal Twitter accounts following that guideline.Republic of Nitdo will create a thread on our Twitter account to collect every work.

This is a simple guide on the T&C and which content rating they may fall under.We acknowledge that people have different tastes and standards when it comes to what they consume in fiction and art. As a creative hub, Republic of Nitdo believes that while fiction and art can be boundless, there should be a mutual understanding and respect in the community.This art festival is made to celebrate the spooky season of the year. Hence, some works may need to be properly tagged and warned when required by the participants, and it is the viewer’s responsibility to filter out what they can consume.
